Home Performance Contractor Network (HPCN)
The Home Performance Contractor Network (HPCN) is a database of retrofit contractors in British Columbia (BC) that meet specified trade designation and training qualifications and are subject to ongoing review and quality assurance checks.
Home performance is the science and practice of building and improving homes based on a whole-home approach or the house-as-a-system concept. Learn more about home performance and the development of the HPCN here.
Who Can Participate?
Currently, the HPCN is open to retrofit contractors in BC that offer services for the following sectors:

Contractors may sign up for the HPCN under one or more of these sectors.
To be eligible to apply to the HPCN, contractors must:
- Be companies or independent contractors. Individual installers are not eligible to apply on their own.
- Directly employ their installers for the relevant sector. Membership in the HPCN does not cover sub-contractors. Read more on this in the FAQs.
- Be currently operating in BC and have been operating in BC for a minimum of three (3) consecutive years before the date of their application. Companies with less than three (3) consecutive years of operation are welcome to apply but will be subject to additional review.
