The Home Performance Stakeholder Council (HPSC) is committed to upholding the confidentiality and security of your personal information. The HPSC respects your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy describes the information that HPSC collects via homperformance.ca and how we use that information to ensure that your personal information is handled responsibly.
Any personal information we collect is handled in accordance with the British Columbia Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). Under PIPA, personal information includes recorded information about an identifiable individual, such as name, address, phone number and email address. Business contact information is not considered “personal” information.
In accordance with PIPA, we collect information only by lawful and fair means and not in an unreasonably intrusive way. The HPSC does not sell, share, divulge or otherwise disseminate personal information.

The HPSC needs to collect, use, retain, and disclose personal information to provide services to you. We will request from you only the personal information necessary to provide our services, and will tell you how we intend to use this information.
HPSC is collecting personal information, including name, email address, phone number, questions and comments, for the purposes of:
- Providing news and information updates on the HPSC by email to those who sign up to our e-newsletter.
- Providing resource information and industry updates on the HPSC by email to those individuals or businesses who sign up for membership.
- Responding to questions or comments about the HPSC to those who request contact.
Technical Data
The HPSC may collect technical data during a visit to this site, such as your IP address, domain name, browser type, operating system, date and time of visit and web pages accessed. The HPSC collects and stores this information in aggregate and uses it only to generate website traffic statistics, assess website performance and make improvements to our site.

The HPSC may ask for your email address in order to contact you in this way to receive HPSC information updates and e-newsletters. HPSC makes available the option to delete or change your email address at any time or unsubscribe to particular types of email.

From time to time, we review and may revise our privacy policy to better reflect the changing nature of the web and ensure your personal information remains fully protected. The HPSC will post revisions of the Privacy Policy on our website and we invite you to refer back to the Privacy Policy on a regular basis.
